A compilation of photos from Adam Swica’s Crash ‘n’ Burn contact sheets. All at the Crash ‘n Burn July 29/30 (Diodes/Boyfriends) and closing night Aug 5/6 1977 (Dead Boys/Diodes). Sighted in the Audience Lucasta Ross and Xenia Holiday of the B-Girls and Gyda Gash, then girlfriend of Cheetah Chrome of the Dead Boys these days bassist with Judas Priestess.
Toronto 1977 punk pioneers, The Diodes, perform a rare, intimate, but ungodly loud performance at The Brantford Station Gallery, on Tues, Sept 15, 2015.
In addition to a full concert set by The Diodes, their manager, Ralph Alfonso, returns to the Gallery with his acclaimed exhibition and sale of 1977 punk photography (his portraits of The Ramones, Patti Smith, Diodes, Dead Boys, Teenage Head and many others).
Doors open at 9pm
NOTE: Admission price includes a copy of the book, Treat Me Like Dirt, the acclaimed history of Toronto punk 1977-1981, by Liz Worth
Tickets are extremely limited as gallery capacity is 50.

Brantford Station is a ViaRail/Go-Train station and can be reached by train, HOWEVER there are no late trains leaving the Station after the show.
There are various motels/hotels on Colborne Rd in Brantford if you’d like to extend your visit.
Another great interview. This one is in fact the motherlode of all Diodes interviews done in 2007 the night before before our Dundas Square show by Greg Dick on CIUT Equalizing Distort. This one’s huge, it runs over 2 hours, everyone was there (including Liz Worth and Rob Sikora in the control room). We went over everything, so much in fact that as Liz was completing her book this interview was cited as one of the sources, it truly is all-encompassing, an instant capsule history of Toronto punk. featuring The Diodes, Teenage Head, The Dead Boys and The Boyfriends.
Filme in its entirety at the legendary Crash’n’Burn club,
Toronto, during the punk summer of 1977 by indie film-maker Ross McLaren. This film is not available commercially and can only be screened in its original 16mm format.
Diodes and Crash’n’Burn club manager Ralph Alfonso will
introduce the film and give a short overview of that era in
Toronto rock history.
In addition, there will be an exhibition and sale of 1977 punk photography by Ralph Alfonso (Ramones, Diodes, Teenage Head, Patti Smith, Viletones, Damned, Stranglers, Blondie, Talking Heads, etc).
Memorabilia, vinyl, cds, shirts, books and DVDs will also be available (including The Last Pogo Jumps Again DVD).
